Guess what? I had overlook the schedule and the train is only available at 12.40! Duh.

Bought our tickets and roam around the small town and found an awesome fish and chips shop. No pork no whatever that make us doubt (was-was) to enjoy the local fish and chips.

The entrance to Puffing Billy was at the top of the hill. My dad drop us there while they go and park the mpv at a special parking lot located opposite side of the hill. My mom had to walk down the curvy steepy path to reach the counter…later at the bottom barulah realised ada special drop off area for disable. 😅😅 So next time who ever is reading this and travelling with mak2 or ayah2 sakit kaki can just drop them there k! 😅

Wawa and Aqib was all excited. We were greeted by the Station Master who was wearing the complete uniform and the captain hat! We saw the steam puffing out from the main engine. Toooottooot…all aboard!!

The journey is around 1 hour to reach Lakeside. You can purchase up to the end Emerald.. but the tix price would be double plus it’ll be too boring for 4 hours return trip to Belgrave. Well I don’t recommend it la. This is my 3rd time kan naik 😄 but you are always welcome to try the full trip and the share with me the outcome.😆

In between trip we stopped at 2 mini stations.

We reached Lakeside after 1 hour of enjoying pretty mountain and aussie forest view. The temperature was a bit too cold for us (as we went deeper into the forest and higher ground) that we just had to puchase hot chocolate drinks to warm us up. Ummm bestnya!

Guided the family to the Lakeside and spot us a picnic table. Purposely picked the nearest table to the station so that my mom wouldn’t need to rush and push too much on her legs.

Oh yeah..b4 the trip we prepared some food for the picnic. Some fried noodles, crisps, juice and snacks. Had a lovely picnic and at the same time enjoying the beautiful late autumn scenery. Lovely…it should’ve been winter already but we were lucky to still enjoy this scenery!!

Solat was a bit challenging as we need to take wudhu with the cold icy water. Spread my travel carpet and solat among the lovely place. Ahhh..that is something we cannot do every day.

Aqib was asleep all throughout our time at Lakeside! Selesakan tido sedap2 dlm pram tu!🙂

On our way back…the journey was getting colder and darker. The early winter timing is chasing our time. By the time sampai balik dah nak macam senja padahal baru jam 3.30pm. My mom bole pulak terjumpa her office mate kat sana! What a small world. Hehe

Well we ran out of time…but we took the risk to drive straight to Dandenong DFO. It took about 1 hour to reach there. By the time we reach we only have an hour to spend! Well we focused only at one shop…which is of course Oroton!

The boys all went around to survey leaving us the girls to shop. Wawa even asked herself an Oroton bag! 😥 tapi mak tak layan dulu hehe..bagi urusan mama abis dulu. Main aim was as a personal shopper for me friends. They wanted oroton scarves and handbag. After that barulah I bought some for myself…thinking that I can still decide later when we visit other DFO near Melbourne town. 😅😅
